Title:  Material Receiving Coordinator

How will you contribute:

The Material Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating incoming deliveries of all materials into the facility. Communicates directly with delivery drivers and shop managers to route deliveries to the appropriate area of the facility for unloading and insures timely routing of small parcel packages to the appropriate departments. Other duties include:

  • Reviews packing lists and other shipping information to ensure they are accurately inclusive of appropriate door or suite identification, and notifies supplier of any deficiencies or missing information on paperwork or shipping labels.
  • Ensures all incoming materials or packages are clearly marked. Research any incoming materials or packages not clearly labeled to identify appropriately, and route accordingly. 
  • Notify internal customers of incoming materials to coordinate the unloading of the trucks or the pick-up of skids or parcels delivered.
  • Coordinate the outgoing small parcel/LTL shipments for the facility.
  • Manages freight documentation, send load delivery notifications to customers, and arranges shipment of completed spools to the job site.


What you need to qualify:

Ahern will help make the most of your one to three years of prior experience as a Shipping/Receiving Coordinator. An Associate Degree is preferred. Forklift experience is a plus. Being proficient in Microsoft Office and technically inclined to learn industry-specific software will be essential. You can stand out above other candidates by demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. Strong attention to detail along with strong written and verbal communication skills will be crucial. Making decisions independently, having in-depth problem-solving skills, and good time management skills will all be necessary for this position.
