You'll provide hands-on leadership, communicate priorities, train and mentor team members, promote continuous improvement initiatives, and help maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment. Working closely with shop leadership, you'll drive operational excellence while supporting the success and development of the team.

In this role, you'll also leverage your technical expertise to support fabrication operations, including operating and performing basic troubleshooting on automated welding equipment, assisting with hands-on welding when needed, and helping the team quickly resolve production challenges to keep work moving safely and efficiently.

This is a full-time second shift position, typically working M-TH, 3 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Overtime as needed on Friday.

What you need to qualify:

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment, along with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. You must be committed to maintaining a safe workplace, delivering high-quality work, and effectively balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred, and candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively, making sound decisions, and meeting the physical demands of a shop environment.

Experience with welding operations and automated welding equipment is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have the ability to operate and perform basic troubleshooting on automated welding lines, complete hand welding as needed, and provide effective leadership and direction to the second-shift team while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.
