We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Operations Manager located in Fond du Lac, WI.

How you will contribute:

Join our Human Resources team, where you’ll lead the function in partnership with the HR Director as one of Ahern’s three Human Resource Managers.  As the HR Operations Manager, you will play a central role in driving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Human Resources department. You will oversee daily HR operations, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with organizational goals and contribute to a highly engaged workforce.

 

In this role, you will lead HR projects from planning through execution, continuously evaluating and enhancing processes, systems, and policies for greater efficiency and compliance. You will provide guidance and mentorship to the HR Operations Team, leading a diverse group of Specialists ranging from rewards and compensation to compliance and systems administration. A central component of this role is managing and enhancing Ahern’s self-funded healthcare plans and ancillary health and welfare benefits.

 

In addition, you will ensure that practices adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, prepare detailed reports using HR metrics and analytics, and manage the company’s total rewards program in partnership with external partners. Your expertise will be instrumental in attracting, retaining, and developing top talent, as well as in maintaining a best-in-class suite of employee rewards. Through your leadership, analytical skills, and commitment to continuous improvement, you will help shape a workplace culture that values innovation, development and employee well-being.

 

What you need to qualify:

Ahern will help you make the most of your Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and five years or more of experience in Human Resources. Advanced credentials such HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR, Certified Benefits Professional, or similar) are highly valued. You’ll thrive in this role by leveraging your understanding and experience in the Total Rewards space including strategic planning for various types of benefits plans and regulatory compliance; preference will be given to candidates with experience managing self-funded benefits plans. Success in this role requires a strong ability to translate detailed and technical HR concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for employees at all levels, from individual contributors to executives.

 

You must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and possess advanced skills in synthesizing data and applying complex algorithms to inform decision-making. Experience with HRIS systems, project management, and a proven track record in managing diverse teams are essential.

 

Additionally, you should demonstrate exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. A deep understanding of labor laws, compensation, benefits, and compliance requirements is crucial. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
