How you will contribute:
Join our Technical Training team, where you’ll play a vital role in elevating employee expertise across our Fire Alarm and Special Hazards (Fire Systems and Equipment) product line. You’ll design and deliver high-impact training programs, whether instructor-led, virtual, or eLearning that build technical proficiency and reinforce our company’s values and standards.
In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate with subject matter experts and HR partners to continuously refine training content, activities, and delivery methods. You’ll evaluate employee performance, provide constructive feedback, and support onboarding and upskilling initiatives for Fire Systems Technicians. Your ability to facilitate engaging sessions will help drive adoption of key processes, systems, and tools.
Beyond the classroom, you’ll maintain training records, track completion rates, provide troubleshooting and product support, and stay current on industry trends. Your commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and professional development will help shape a learning culture that supports operational excellence and long-term growth.
What you need to qualify:
Ahern will help you make the most of your deep technical Fire Alarm and Special Hazards knowledge and your passion for teaching and mentoring others, and two years in a supervisory or training role within the construction industry is preferred. You’ll thrive in this role by bringing strong presentation, facilitation, and professional communication skills, along with a talent for building relationships and providing meaningful feedback.
Proficiency in industry-relevant software is essential, and a NICET Level III Certification is preferred. You’ll stand out by demonstrating a coachable mindset, being collaborative, and having a drive to continuously improve training content and delivery. Your ability to translate technical concepts into engaging learning experiences, paired with a commitment to safety and process excellence, will make a lasting impact.
